Frequently Asked Questions

  • I work with teens (age 13+) and adults of all kinds. My jam is working with late-diagnosed (or suspecting) neurodivergent adults, teenage girls, clients who experienced complex or relational trauma, and those working through grief.

  • I do not accept insurance, but I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

Insurance being involved in therapy can limit the quality of therapeutic care. I want therapy to fit you, not your insurance company.

  • Currently, my rate is $85 per 50 minutes while I am still a student.

  • Absolutely. I offer telehealth state-wide in Texas, and in-person in Fort Worth’s Southside. I strive to ensure my virtual sessions provide just as much quality and connection as in-person, with the added convenience of being able to attend therapy all cozied up in your pajamas!

  • Yes, I offer a free 15-minute phone consult to discuss what you want to gain from therapy, answer all the questions you have, and work out if we’re a good fit. This is a smart way to get a sense of how I am prior to committing to a full session!

  • Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. This timing allows for structure while leaving plenty of room to do meaningful work.

  • I require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If you cancel with less notice than 24 hours, or no-call no-show, you may be charged the full session price.

This policy helps ensure everyone’s time and commitment to therapy is respected.

  • For the first session, I will take more of the lead to learn all about you (as much as you’re comfortable sharing). I’ll review how I work as a therapist, and answer any questions you might have. Then we’ll explore what brings you to therapy, your background, and your strengths.

  • That’s partially up to you! It depends on your needs, goals, and what you’re working through. Some clients find relief in a few months, while many engage in deeper, long term work (me included—I’ve been seeing my current therapist for almost 3 years!). If you want more lasting change over quick-fix coping skills, then that often means a longer (but more successful) process. Part of my job is to review your goals and progress with you regularly.
